Transience

The Transience series is constructed through multiple exposures layered within a single frame, challenging the conventional photographic relationship to time. While the camera sets the boundaries of the image, the figures and objects it captures appear in states of arrival or departure — visual traces of matter slipping in and out of existence. The work reflects on impermanence and the fluidity of presence. The series was first exhibited as part of the 3View exhibition at United Galleries in Sydney.
